Mrs. Annie Jean Roberson Ward Mosley was born in Adel, GA on February 22, 1933 to the parents of Mr. Hollie F Roberson, Jr. and Ola Mars Troutman Roberson. Mrs. Annie attended Cook County Training School in Adel, GA. Because education and service was important to Mrs. Annie, she worked hard to support several family members with college careers as well as military careers.Mrs. Annie attended school for nursing and earned her certified nursing assistant licensure. Mrs. Annie played her favorite song on the juke box “If You Think You’re Lonely Now” by Bobby Womack. Mrs. Annie had a giving and loving spirit. She helped anyone that she could and never turned away a soul that asked or needed her help. Mrs. Annie raised nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren and did not treat them differently from her biological children. Mrs. Annie accepted Christ in her life and joined Mt. Moriah Freewill Baptist Church in Adel, GA. She also became a member of Selam Baptist Church in Rochester, NY. At Selam Batist Church she served as mother of the church. Mrs. Annie met the love of her life, Thomas James Mosley, in Adel, GA, while accompanying her sister on a visit. As he walked by, she grabbed his hand and said he was going to be her next husband.
