Betty Jean Doe was born Jan. 2nd, 1956, in Mayday, Georgia to Mary L. Hampton and Osric Johnson. Betty obtained her education in the Cook County School System at the Cook County Training Center. Betty held several jobs in her lifetime, such as hospitality and a chef. Betty’s primary career was as a caregiver, both professionally and personally. Betty volunteered to be a caregiver for many of her family members. Betty was a very humble and quiet lady, with a calm spirit. Betty greeted people with a smile, and she loved with her whole heart. To experience her presence was to adore her.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Herman Doe, her mother Mary L. Pinkney, her father Osric Johnson. Four sisters: Daisy L. Jenkins, Lillie D. Butler, Christine Thomas, and Sitilda Pinkney, one granddaughter and one great granddaughter.

Betty leaves a lifetime of beautiful memories to be treasured by those she loved: her bonus father, who raised her, Rev. Joseph F. Pinkney; two sons: Billy James Pinkney (Turca) and Everett Len Doe (Melissa); one daughter Sitilda Marie Doe; four brothers: Eddie Smith Jr., John F. Pinkney, Joseph N. Pinkney and Rev. Robert F. (Kimberly) Pinkney; two sisters: Josephine Pinkney and Lora (James) Lee; two grandchildren: Kendrick J. (Amber) Pinkney and Jade L. Pinkney; three great grandchildren: Kendrick Pinkney Jr., Jakylen A. Pinkney, and Justyce C. Pinkney; a special family friend Alicia Pinkney; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
