Mr Calvin Mapp Jr departed his life peacefully in the presence of family at Tift Regional Hospital August 5, 2020 at the age of 93 years old .Calvin Mapp Jr was born on February 3,1927 to Cal and Ruth Mapp of Newton Georgia. Mr. Calvin Mapp Jr received his education in Hahira School System. He was a faithful active member of St James A. M. E Church of Adel Ga where he was a trustee until his health begin to fail. He was gainfully employed for several employers over the course of years ,until the age of 82 .Mr Calvin was a dedicated and hardworking employee .Over the years he was employed by Del Cook Lumber , several Fertilizer Plants ,and Aluminum Finishing .He left lasting impressions on everyone that he came in contact with . His Charisma and warm laughter will be greatly missed . Mr Calvin enjoyed fishing in his pastime , was a great fisherman . Calvin Mapp will be deeply missed by his wife of 75 years Mattie Lee Simmons Mapp ,Five sons ,Johnny Will (Mary Ann) Mapp of Valdosta Ga Calvin ( Beverly ) Mapp of Adel Ga , Haven (Flora ) Mapp of Adel Ga, Eugene Mapp of Adel Ga , William C ( Lorene ) Mapp of Valdosta Ga , one daughter Linda Madden ( Ernest ) of Atlanta Ga . One sister Amy Mapp Corbett of Adel Ga , 35 grandkids and over 100 great grand kids.He leaves behind many sorrowing friends and family members . He was preceded in death by both parents Cal and Ruth Mapp, Three grandchildren and one great grandchild .
