Daisy
Lane
April 15, 1933 – March 14, 2026
Sister Daisy Pitts Lane was born to the Late Israel Irvin Sr. and the Late Rosa Lee Irvin in Hahira, Georgia. On Saturday, March 14, 2026 she peacefully departed this life to be with the Lord. Sister Lane was 92 years old. A devoted child of God, Sister Lane received Christ in her life at an early age. She loved God, loved her family and loved people. Everyday she demonstrated that love. Sister Lane never met a stranger. She always had a kind smile and a willing heart to help.
Sister Daisy graduated Cook County Training School in Adel and later met and married Charles James Pitts. From this blessed union five children were born. Shortly, they moved to Miami Florida. There she worked at St. Francis Hospital until she retired. Upon retirement Sister Daisy moved back to Adel to care for her ailing Mother. This return also resulted in the blessed marriage of Sister Daisy to Bro. Jeff Lane. The Lanes were faithful members of Elm Street Church of Christ in Adel. Sister Lane will be remembered as being faithful, friendly, funny, fun-loving and feisty. Sister Daisy Lane was truly “A Child Of God”.
Preceding Sister Lane in death were her parents, her husband Charles James Pitts, five brothers, two sisters and her three sons.
In addition to her husband Jeff Lane, surviving Sister Daisy are two daughters, a son-in-law, three sisters, eight grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, Extended family members and very dear friends.
