Kaise Sa’Moh Thomas Gibbons, born August 16, 2021, to Hannah Gibbons and the late Ricky Thomas, Jr., brought immeasurable light and love into the lives of all who knew him. Though his time on this earth was brief, Kaise’s radiant smile and warm, loving personality left a lasting impression on family and friends alike. He had a joyful spirit that could brighten any room, and his laughter was a precious gift to those around him. Kaise found happiness in the simple things he adored Spider-Man, loved playing the drums with boundless energy, and was fascinated by big trucks. Even at such a young age, he showed a unique curiosity and spoke of dreams of one day becoming a mortician, reflecting a depth and individuality beyond his years. Kaise will forever be remembered for his sweetness, his light, and the love he so freely gave. Kaise was welcomed into eternal rest and is preceded in death by his loving father, Rickey Thomas Jr., and his grandfather, Thomas O. Foster. He was also preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Walton, Eddie Mae Walton, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Foster, and Willa Foster, as well as his uncles, Prince Walton and Eddie Walton. Kaise leaves to cherish his memory his devoted mother, Hannah Kay Gibbons (Derrien). He is also lovingly remembered by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Stacy and Selina Long and Mr. and Mrs. Rickey and Shawn Thomas; his great-grandmother, Sunilla Thomas; and his uncle, Cody Thomas. He leaves behind a large and loving family including his aunts: Sara J. Gibbons, Ariana Thomas, Brittany Rountree, Ashley Thomas, Jeleesa (Justin) Meeks, Ashley Stovall, Tabatha Livingston, Flora Mapp (Haven), and Lisa Griffith (Ezra). Kaise will also be deeply missed by family & friends, Kevin Hope and Kamari Hope, as well as a host of extended family and friends who will forever cherish his memory. He shared a special bond with his best friend, Dylan Loveday.
