Sister Lettye Ceaser was born May 29th, 1941, in Crescent City, Florida to James and Lula Mae Dowdell. God's will prevailed on Wednesday, September 17th, 2025, and Sister Lettye Ceaser began her eternal rest. She met and married Ben Ceaser in 1979. She was a dedicated educator for Valdosta City School System for many years. Sister Lettye was a longtime faithful member of Eastside Church of Christ until her health began to fail.

Sister Lettye was preceded in death by her parents; James and Lula Mae Dowdell; and her dear husband, Ben Ceaser; and a loving daughter, Debbie Perry.

Sister Lettye Ceaser leaves to cherish her heartfelt memories to two daughters, Helen Lavonne Ceaser (John) of Hollywood, FL, and Monica Ceaser (Phillip), of Detroit, MI; three sons, Christopher M. Ceaser of Savannah, GA, James Dexter Dowdell Ceaser of Valdosta, GA, and Isaac Ben Ceaser of Savannah, GA; one sister in law, Cornelia Fowler of St. Petersburg, FL.; and one brother in law, Bobby (Lyn) Ceaser of St. Petersburg, FL; 21 grand children; 30 great gran children, and 1 great great grand child. Also, a host of nieces nephew, cousins, friends, and church family.
