Mr. Roy Alfred Henley, Sr. departed this life on Thursday, January 11, 2018 in Adel GA. He was born on December 22, 1943 in Moultrie, GA. to the late Mr. George L. Henley and Mrs. Ida Katherine (Cooper) Henley. He received his education from Cook County Training School in 1961, were he was a member of the band. He was divorced from his late wife, Mrs. Christine M. (Miller) Harris. Roy Sr. worked at Del-Cook Lumber Company many years before becoming disabled. He is preceded in death by three siblings; George F. Henley, John Henley and Jonathan Henley. He spent his last days here on earth spending time with family and friends, taking care of his yards and attending bible study and worship services at Holy Community Church. He leaves to cherish his precious memory are his seven children; Tony (Adrian) Chambers of Fitzgerald, GA; Michael (Monika) Henley, Sr. of Cecil, GA; Steven (Trina) Henley,_ Sr. of Sparks, GA; Tawanna Henley-Elliott of Cibolo, TX; Tammie (Harold) Milliken of Cummings, GA; Roy (Nakeitha) Henley, Jr of Lenox, GA; Terri Henley of Tifton, GA. One brother Cornelius Henley of Southfield MI; two sisters-in-law, Jeanette Henley of Miami FL; Mary Henley of West Palm Beach, FL; thirty-two grandchildren; six great­ grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and special friends.
