Mrs. Sarah Denise Williams Harris passed on April 7, 2017 at the age of 62. She was born on February 12, 1955 in Rockmart, Georgia to the late Fred Williams and the late Georgia Bob.
She received her education through the Cook County School System and completed one year at Valdosta State College. She worked for the Cook County School System as an Aide at Adel Elementary School. She later became the Head Cook at the Berrien County Jail and then the Tift County Jail. Her last employment was with the Med Cab of Valdosta, delivering her clients to medical appointments. She was married to Mr. Craig R. Harris since May 5, 2005.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, Craig R. Harris; one son, Garrick H. Cross; and her special son, Deondre Pickett; her brothers, Gathen (Carol) Anderson of Adel, Ga., Cass Williams of Rockmart, Ga., Fred (Annie) Williams of Valdosta, Ga., Gary (Bunch)Williams of Sparks, Ga., DeWayne (Shambley) Mims of Adel, Ga., Demetrius Holmes of Cedartown, Ga., and a very special brother, James (Simmie) Battle of Sparks, Ga., her sisters, Cora Sims and Eunice Lenoir of Sparks,Ga., Niya Ownes of Romes, Ga., and a very special sister, Debra Jones; her in-laws: Caroline Leggett of Moultrie, Ga., Shantae Harris of Tifton, Ga., Cassandra Harris of Newark, N.J. brothers-in-law, Glenn Harris and Daryl Harris of Moultrie, Ga; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nephews and great nieces, and so many that there is not room to list them all. Her special friends, Yvonne(Steve) Woods, Marlena, Vena, Maxine Geneva(Walter) DeBerry, Gwen(Craig) Joiner, Stepdaughters, Camrica Harris of Valdosta, Ga., T.T. Jordan of Moultrie; stepson, Craig Harris, Jr. of Valdosta, Ga; one step grandson; She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
