With deep love and heartfelt remembrance, we celebrate the life of Phyllis D. Orr, who peacefully departed this life on December 29, 2025, at the Pruitt Health in Valdosta, Georgia. She was 66 years old.

Phyllis was born on January 17, 1959, in Hahira, Georgia to the late Theotis Rawls and Mary Eliza Copeland.

Phyllis was a devoted woman of faith and her services to the Lord was unwavering, even as her health declined. She lived to spread the word of God, always ready to share the gospel and offer prayer, comfort, and compassion to all she met.

Her heart was as generous as her spirit. She enjoyed praying, reading her Bible, listening to gospel music, and testifying to the goodness of the Lord.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents; 1 daughter Tracy Evette Orr, her sister Alice Lynch and brothers Henry Maxwell, William Maxwell.

She attended Lowndes High School in Valdosta and later met and married Ellis A. Orr. From their union came four children. She leaves to cherish her memory:

One daughter – Sandra (Larry) Orr-Parker of Oakland, TN

Three sons – Andre (Sherrie) Rawls of Midwest City, OK, Ellis (Crisp) Orr of Valdosta, GA and Jonathan (Grand Finale) Orr

Two sisters – Catherine Hood Miami, FL, Geraldine (Henry) Briggs, South River, New Jersey

Five brothers – Otis M (Jeanne) Rawls Ewing, New Jersey, Bruce (Rhonda) Maxwell and Ira Bernard Miley of Valdosta, GA and James Miley Bowling Green, KY and Kenneth Rawls Apache Junction, AZ

Six grandchildren Xandria Parker, Jada Sims, Kyler Williams, Jai 'Quan Orr, Jacquez Orr, Nick Booker, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends who will miss her dearly.
