Mr. Willie James Gibbs, Jr. was born on April 6th, 1971 to the late Willie James Gibbs Sr. and Jeanette S. Gibbs. He had a heart, loved the little ones, cared for animals, and kept it solid with everyone. He had a great sense of humor, loved being surrounded by family and friends, and was a protector of his family. Our much loved son, father, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend departed this life on January 27th, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his father Mr. Willie James Gibbs Sr. and grandparents Cornelius & Lillie Bell Simmons and Lucille Green.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his loving daughter, Ny' Asija K. Gibbs, his mother, Jeanette Gibbs, one brother Austin (Felicia) Gibbs, one sister, Ashley (Randolph) Ellis, one sister/cousin, Schulunda (Calvin) Pettiford, three nieces, Kerah J. Ellis, Allison J. Gibbs, and Kayla M. Ellis, one aunt, Shirley (David) Alexander, two uncles, Mack (Charlette) Green and Ronald Green, special nieces, Victoria M. Jackson, T'Yonna C. Jackson, and Shareese S. Pettiford, four God-sisters, Angela Clark-Stevenson, Shakeesha and Adriane Thomas, and Natalie Sanders, one God-brother, Terry Sanders Jr., special friends, Richard Grover, Ozell Lane Jr., Justin Inman, Gerald Byron, and Jennifer Grant. Also, a host of family and friends.
